New things

I'm graduated now.. althoulgh I don't have the certificate, YET.
People has the talent of be really concerned about other people lives.... This is not different with me because now that I'm done with college stuff... people started to make the annoying question about what am I gonna do with my life up to now? Look... I haven't even breath yet to think about it and I must to tell them... "don't worry.. I now how to take care of my life and if I need you help I'll ask,, okie??

Having said that.. I must to say that I've been spending my time with movies and books and of course.. sleeping. I'm reading the Da Vince Code and although I' m a kind of prejudicous with best sellers, I must to confess I'm really enjoying the reading. Sometimes I can't follow Langdon's thoughts.. but it's good anyway. I haven't finish the reading so I won't make further commentaries... I'll let them to the end of my reading.

Movies List

It will take some time but I'll post the titles ( in English and Portuguese) of all movies I've seen and a small comment about it.... enjoy it!

1) The House of the Spirits ( A casa dos espíritos): This movie was directed by Billie August in 1993. Casting Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Jeremy Irons, Winona Ryder, Antonio Banderas, Vanessa Redgrave e Armin Mueller-Stahl.I wasn't very atracted by the title because I thought it could be a thriller, then my friend told me it was a good movie then I decided to watch. I must to say it is really big (for me more than two hours is big) but it was so exciting that I wasn't even looking at the clock. The story was well told therefore it's not difficult to cath the audience attention. I really reccomend!

2)It's a Wonderful Life ( A felicidade não se compra): It was directed by Frank Capra in 1946, casting the lovely James Stewart. I must to confes I cried the first time I watched this movie because it deals with a so complicated issue that provoke us to think about the things we give too much importance as money and forgeting about thinks we really should care about which is life, no matter how complicated it is... there is always a way. I know it sounds like a cliche, but I don't have any better words right now. I reccomend this movie to everyone!

3) All about Eve (A malvada) Directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz in 1950 and starring Bette Davis, Anne Baxter e Marilyn Monroe, All about Eve is also a very interesting movie. IN the begining I didn' t really like movies in blak and white, but I must to say even in black and white Bete Davis caught my attention with her character.I really reccomend this film to everyone.

That's all for now... I hope you're ready to discuss about any of this movies here.

Filmes...

I've seen many movies throughout this 22 years. Some of them touch me, some make me laugh and some makeme feel I just wasted my time , but I can never leave the room and left one movie unfinished... Think about what I've been reading and about what I see everyday on television, magazines or even in the movies is a hard task, because thinking is hard and sometimes it can even hurt...
The purpose of this blog is to discuss ideas from movies and videos from internet or even books that interest me. Nowadays I'm reading a lot about Feminism and maybe this could be a one of the subjects discussed here, but not today because now, I want to write about a movie I have just seen called Notes on a Scandal with Cate Blanchet and Judi Dench , directed by Richard Eyre in 2006 .
I could say this is a movie about love, or friendship which also walk together with love or maybe about desire and passion which in many cases ends up in tragedy...
This is the story of an art teacher who has an affair with her 15 years old student. That make me think what is really passion and desire that "force" people to do thigs they know they shouldn't... but... why shoudn't they? why there are so many rules to be followed? Perhaps anyone who read this can help me to aswer these questions, I mean, if there is any answer...
This movie makes me think about the real meaning of friendship... I guess the most relations we establish with people are always based on interest of something the other person got; this is what happened in the movie between the two teachers. One of them, the young one has a family ans also many problems and the old one has loneliness and no aparent problems ... Why do people get friends? What for? Can't we live alone? Why? Why do we have to pay everything? Everyday we can buy things... The romantics would say we cannot buy love, but I am not sure about that...
I could stay here talking about all the feelings this movie brings to me, but unfortunately or maybe fortunately I've got more things to do and more subjetcts to thing about it an try to put all of them into words to discuss to any "person" who share the same feelings than me.

If you read this until the end... I'd like to thank you very much and I'm eager to read anything you have to say about it. Anything, even if you want to correct my english, but if you did not read I have just one thing to tell you, this is not your place and you should not be here you lazy!

See you readers in my next topic...
